Conan Exiles Enhanced Is a Major Visual Upgrade for PS5, Free for Existing

Publisher Funcom has announced Conan Exiles Enhanced for PS5, a massive upgrade to the open world action survival game.

This souped-up version of the popular title was first released for PC earlier this year, but now it's officially coming to PS5 in early 2027. Here's the trailer:

It shows off some pretty impressive comparisons between the old PS4 version and the Enhanced edition, built in Unreal Engine 5 and making full use of its buzzwordy features like Nanite and Lumen global illumination.

It's a serious visual upgrade, and on top of that come improvements to performance, quality-of-life changes, and an overhaul of the UI.

While it's still a good few months away, Conan Exiles Enhanced will be a free upgrade for anybody who already owns the original on PS4. Any DLC you own, and anything you've purchased from the Bazaar, will carry over to the PS5 version too.

If you have the Isle of Siptah expansion, this version of the game makes travelling from the main map to the island much more streamlined.

It seems like a very worthwhile update if you're a fan of the original, and if you've not played before, it'll be the ideal way to start.

Funcom has also confirmed its other open world survival game, Aloft, is headed for PS5 in early 2027:

This has been in early access on PC since January 2025, but it's planned for its 1.0 launch on Sony's console next year.

Unlike Conan's harsh sandy world, Aloft is set among the clouds as you build a life atop floating islands, either solo or in co-op. It looks quite pleasant, doesn't it?
