Publisher Shueisha Games and developer poncle have delayed the multiplayer survival game Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton from its previously planned 2026 release window to 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Shueisha Games attributed the delay to the need for additional development time, with the team continuing work on the royale format.
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton supports online matches for up to eight players alongside a single-player mode. Players select characters from Jujutsu Kaisen and fight waves of Cursed Spirits while competing to earn more points than their opponents.
Standard attacks activate automatically, placing greater emphasis on movement, positioning, character builds, and abilities. Reaching 100 points allows a player to activate a Rule Addition that can interfere with rivals and affect the course of a match. The two highest-ranked players eventually enter a one-versus-one duel to determine the winner.
More than 20 playable characters are planned, each featuring different skills and playstyles. Players can obtain additional fighters by meeting specific conditions. Bosses can also appear during matches.
Special moves include techniques from the series such as Domain Expansion and Black Flash. Players build the required gauge during combat.
Character builds also change between matches. Defeated Cursed Spirits drop EXP used to level up, with each level presenting skill choices that can strengthen existing abilities or add new ones.
