Rumour: Silent Hill 1 Remake Aiming for 2027 PS5 Release

The remake of the PS1 survival horror classic Silent Hill is targeting a PS5 release in 2027, a new MP1st report claims.

The website — which has proved increasingly reliable in the past 12 months — suggests Bloober Team and Konami are planning on putting out the remake next year. In addition, it claims that Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew are part of the voice cast.

Fritz has appeared in a number of TV shows, but in the video game space, she's lent her voice to Luna Abyss, Battlefield 2042, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Matthew, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have starred in a video game before. She does have credits, though, in Torchwood: The Story Continues.

Casting details surrounding who will play Harry Mason, the original's main character, haven't surfaced yet.
