A Complete Edition of survival game The Alters is launching on PlayStation later this year. It contains the base game, the huge Last Variable DLC as well as four deluxe outfits. Check out the announce trailer below!

The Alters is a survival/crafting/exploration game where you play as Jan Dolski, who manages to clone various versions of himself called ‘Alters’ to help him survive. Our reviews editor Jesse really enjoyed the game, saying, “The Alters is a uniquely fun take on a series of game mechanics I normally loathe. If you told me that I would greatly enjoy a crafting, base-building, relationship management, resource-grinding game, I would never have believed you. Instead, this one is an easy recommendation to anyone with Game Pass or who is interested in the fantastic premise.“

The Last Variable expansion adds around 20 hours more story to the game, where you and your team of scientist Alters have to co-operate to unlock an ecosystem called the Oasis.

If this sounds like your kind of game, then there’s not too long to wait until the launch of the Complete Edition for PlayStation 5. The game releases on November 20th, 2026, for an RRP of £34.99/€39.99/$39.99.
